Fountaine Pajot Group, one of the world leaders in the manufacture of tour boats, provides up-to-date information on the progress of the Odysséa 2024 project and announces the results for the first half of this fiscal year (ends 31/08/22).

Strengthening partnership with Alternatives Energies

As part of the development of low-carbon yachts, the Fountaine Pajot Group will establish a strengthened partnership by acquiring a majority stake in Alternatives Energies with its historic partner, Managing Director and EVE Systems Julian Hélène.

Alternatives Energies benefits from years of experience in the development and integration of zero-emission or hybrid propulsion energy systems for navigation. , Alternatives Energies has continued to innovate to design clean, bespoke solutions for passenger and work vessels.

Through this participation, Fountaine Pajot is unmatched by Managing Director Julian Hélène and his team to provide Alternatives Énergies with access to the yacht market and accelerate their carbon-neutral Odyssey business project by 2030. I want to rely on my expertise.

In parallel with this acquisition, Fountaine Pajot has begun testing the first electric catamaran designed in collaboration with Alternatives Energies with electric motors that combine the expertise of Alternatives Energies and Fountaine Pajot. Thanks to this strategic partnership, Fountaine Pajot can provide customers with fully integrated electrical solutions such as engine blocks, battery banks, power blocks, and integrated and integrated management of in-vehicle and power equipment. The Fountaine Pajot Group recorded revenues of € 90.6 million in the first half of fiscal year 2021/22, up 7% year-on-year. The latest launches in both the catamaran segment (Elba 45, Samana 59, Alegria 67) and the monohull segment (Dufour 390 and Dufour 470) are driving the group’s growth during this period.

In the first half of 2021/22, EBITDA reached € 12.9 million from € 13.2 million in the year-ago quarter due to inflationary pressures on raw materials and supply shortages.

Operating income increased 9.6% year-on-year to € 9 million, with net income and group share improving significantly to € 5.7 million. To be on the safe side, exceptional items with no cash effect affected the Group’s net income in the first half of 2020/21.

Fountaine Pajot showed on February 28, 2022 a favorable change in working capital requirements of € 28.9 million given the positive cash flow of € 9.7 million and the high level of down payment received on orders. Generated positive operating cash flow of € 38.4 million. Increased inventory expects orders to be delivered in the second half of the year.

The investment during the period was € 4.7 million and is related to the electric catamaran designed in collaboration with Fountaine Pajot’s Aura 51, Alternatives Énergies, Dufour’s D32 and other models.

Thus, at the end of February 2022, the Fountaine Pajot Group presented a strengthened financial structure that allows it to calmly pursue the development of its value creation.

2021/22 outlook, + 10% growth expected

Due to the commercial momentum and strong visibility of purchase orders observed in the first half of the fiscal year, we expect + 10% sales growth compared to the fiscal year (ending August 31, 2022). New Models-The motor yacht series Tanna 47, MY 4S was named Best Power Cat of the Year by the magazine Multihull Mag, and the new Monohull, Dufour 32, was selected by the award-winning “2022 Yacht”.
